Columbia Riverkeeper Elects McLain as President of Board of Directors

Dec. 15, 2016 (Vancouver, WA) — Linda McLain is the newly-elected President of Columbia Riverkeeper’s Board of Directors. McLain is a Vancouver resident and is an owner of Currie & McLain Certified Public Accountants.

“Linda is smart and steady and has extensive experience with non-profits, elections, and finance,” said Brett VandenHeuvel, Executive Director of Columbia Riverkeeper. “Our staff is excited she is taking the helm.”

The Board of Directors unanimously elected McLain President for a one-year term. The President works with the board and staff to guide the organization’s effort to protect clean water. This is a volunteer position. McLain is the first Vancouver resident elected President.

“Columbia Riverkeeper is stronger than ever, and our work to stand up for clean water is critical,” said Linda McLain, President of Columbia Riverkeeper Board of Directors. “I’m excited to increase the support for Riverkeeper throughout our region.”
