Willamette Week Give!Guide: Been a little Bad? Do a little Good.

Columbia Riverkeeper is honored to be included in Give!Guide with 142 diverse nonprofits in the greater Portland area. Willamette Week’s Give!Guide is Portland’s easiest path to year-end giving. G!G showcases small, medium and large organizations whose missions fall into eight categories: Animals, Arts, Community, Education, Environment, Health & Wellness, Social Action, and Youth. In eleven years, G!G has raised nearly $13 million for hundreds of local nonprofits. Last year, WW readers gave $3,145,015 to 136 Portland organizations and the Oregon Cultural Trust.

Encourage your friends and neighbors to check us out on Give!Guide. It is a great way to support clean water and healthy communities. This year, Willamette Week’s Give!Guide's theme is “been a little bad, do a little good.” Maybe you've been a little bad, Give!Guide is a great time to do a little good... Your financial support makes it possible for us to continue fighting for clean water and healthy rivers into 2016.

Do a LOT of good by supporting our work to:

  • Challenge plans to turn the Columbia River into the nation’s fossil fuel highway by fighting coal, oil, and gas terminals that threaten our region;
  • Push regulators to take action on leaky radioactive tanks at the Hanford nuclear site;
  • Test water quality and ensure the Columbia is safe to swim in;
  • Reduce toxic pollution by enforcing the Clean Water Act; and
  • Build strong coalitions in rural and urban areas to achieve our common goal of clean water and healthy communities.

There's some fun incentives this year too.

First, our business partners Turtle Island Foods (Tofurky) will match the first $2,500 in $50 or more donations to Columbia Riverkeeper through G!G; donors of $49 or more will receive a Tofurky voucher worth $7.99. Donors of $150 or more will receive one Willamette Falls kayak tour from eNRG Kayaking (value $60); donors of $250 or more will receive two kayak tours (value $120). In addition, participate during the "Big Give Days" for a chance to win one of these great incentives.
