How to block world's largest methanol refinery? Join us 5/30

The Washington Department of Ecology (Ecology) will soon rule on a key permit for the world’s largest methanol refinery proposed in Kalama, Washington. Don’t miss your chance to tell Ecology to block this climate-wrecking project! Join the rally at Ecology’s office in Vancouver, WA office on May 30, 2017, at 11 a.m.

The proposed Kalama methanol refinery would consume more fracked natural gas than every gas-fired power plant in Washington combined and become the #1 source of air pollution in Kalama. It has no place on the Columbia River.

Last month, Ecology refused to issue a permit to Northwest Innovation Works and instead required the corporation to provide more specific information about the methanol refinery and export terminal. With more information in hand, we expect Ecology to make its final permitting decision about the methanol refinery within the next month. Please join us on May 30 and stand up to the world’s largest methanol refinery!

Make sure Ecology hears from you!
