Rally and Public Hearing About Proposed Oil-By-Rail Terminal in Vancouver

Please help us pack the house on January 5!

On January 5, Washington’s Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC) will hold its first public hearing about the state’s draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) for the Tesoro Savage oil terminal in Vancouver. The hearing gives us a critical, timely opportunity to make a strong statement about why EFSEC and Governor Inslee must deny the dangerous, dirty Tesoro Savage oil terminal. Although flawed, the DEIS provides ample evidence for Governor Inslee and EFSEC to reject Tesoro’s proposal.

Tesoro Savage Oil Terminal Public Hearing:

  • WHEN: Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, at 1:00-11:00PM (Rally at 5pm – wear red!)
WHERE: Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, Hall B located at 17402 NE Delfel Road Ridgefield, WA 98642.
HOW: RSVP for the hearing HERE.

If you can’t attend on the 5th, EFSEC has scheduled a second hearing in Vancouver:

  • WHEN: Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, 5:00-11PM or last speaker
WHERE: Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds Hall B located at 17402 NE Delfel Road Ridgefield, WA  98642.
HOW: RSVP for the hearing HERE.

And if you live closer to Spokane, EFSEC has also scheduled a hearing there:

  • WHEN: Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, 5:00-11:00PM (Rally at 4:30pm)
WHERE: Centerplace Regional Event Center located at 2426 N. Discovery Place
    Spokane Valley, WA  99216.
HOW: RSVP for the hearing HERE.

You don’t have to wait for the hearing to weigh in. Today, please take a moment to express your opposition to the largest oil-by-rail proposal in North America. Click here to submit a comment about why Tesoro’s terminals and trains are wrong for our rivers, climate, and communities. Give your #1 reason why Washington should reject Tesoro’s proposed oil train terminal in Vancouver.
