Celebrate El Grito in White Salmon (Mexican Independence and Hispanic Heritage Month) on September 15 from 3pm to 6pm at Rhinegarden Park in White Salmon, Washington.

El Grito represents one of the most emblematic Mexican civic celebrations. It remembers the moment Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, priest of the town of Dolores, rang the parish bell on the morning of September 16, 1810, and called on Mexicans to rise up against the Spanish crown and fight for independence.
